Cannon Beach & Ecola State Park Engagement Photos
I had the most amazing time capturing Megan and Zach’s playful engagement photoshoot at Cannon Beach and Ecola State Park. We started at Ecola State Park & ended the evening at Cannon Beach where we shot until long after the sun was down & until our fingers & toes were totally frozen! But it was so damn worth it! Everything about this Cannon Beach engagement photo shoot was perfect. They were seriously one of the most fun couples I’ve ever worked with and that is really reflected in their photos. So themselves, so in love. I loved every second of it. They let go of expectations & were just themselves & had fun. Which resulted in stunning, authentic photos.
Megan + Zach’s Love Story
“We met at a country western night at a bar in my college town through my best friend. She joked when Zach and I started dating (in 2019) that she was gonna officiate our future wedding and that’s legit gonna happen. Also, fun fact, my parents met at a country western night at their local bar too so I love the lil connection :’) We live together in a little apartment right now and have two kitties, with dreams of sometime soon getting a big house and a dog to join the fam!”
Kind Words from Megan + Zach
“MORGAN OMG IM OBSESSED! HOLY CRAPOLA so many pictures lady!!!! And we love them all ohhhh my goodness!!! Morgan, I’m crying right now. Meg just sent me a bunch and they’re incredible. THANK YOU SO MUCH”
Why choose Cannon Beach for your engagement photos?
Cannon Beach offers the most stunning beaches and epic views for your Oregon engagement photos. With its natural beauty and picturesque scenery, you’ll have a variety of backdrops to choose from. The iconic Haystack Rock, which rises 235 feet above the beach, provides a dramatic and unforgettable setting. The beach itself offers miles of sandy shoreline, perfect for capturing playful and romantic moments. And with its mild climate and stunning sunsets, Cannon Beach is the ideal location for a truly unforgettable engagement photo shoot.
Best Times of Year to Visit Cannon Beach for Photos
While Cannon Beach is a beautiful location year-round, there are certain times of the year that are particularly ideal for engagement photos. The summer months, from June to August, offer the warmest weather and longest days, providing ample time for photoshoots. However, this is also the busiest time of year, so be prepared for crowds. Spring and fall offer milder weather and fewer crowds, making them great options for a more intimate and relaxed photoshoot. Winter can also be a beautiful time to visit, with dramatic stormy skies and fewer people on the beach. Just be sure to dress warmly!
Top Locations for Engagement Photos at Cannon Beach
Cannon Beach offers so many stunning locations for your engagement photos. One popular spot is Haystack Rock, a towering monolith that provides a dramatic backdrop for your photos. Ecola State Park is another great option, with its sweeping views of the coastline and lush forests. For a more secluded and intimate setting, consider Hug Point State Recreation Site, which features a secluded beach and a waterfall. And of course, the beach itself is always a classic choice, with its wide expanse of sand and crashing waves. Whatever location you choose, Cannon Beach is sure to provide a romantic and epic backdrop for your engagement photos.
