Emotion
When you look at my photographs, you are going to FEEL something. I’m not here to take a couple photos and call it a day; I want to evoke an emotion with every photo delivered. My gallery sizes are typically much bigger than you think you might need, and there’s a reason for that. I don’t do this just to take a few pretty photos throughout the day; I do this to tell a story of the entire wedding experience from beginning to end. So that even when people who weren’t at your wedding look through your gallery, they’ll know EXACTLY what it felt like to be there. They’ll feel the emotions you felt. They’ll see the scene that was set. All through a storytelling gallery of images.
Emotional & authentic galleries are created from emotional & authentic wedding days. That doesn’t mean you & your family have to be crying all day long, it just means you need to embrace whatever emotions you do feel. When you feel the tears coming, let them fall. When you think something’s funny, throw your head back & let the belly laughter out. The emotion-evoking & in-the-moment photos you envision for yourself only happen when you don't overthink it, embrace the day & FEEL. IT. ALL.
It's up to YOU to have an emotional gallery, because I can only capture what’s happening in front of me. So if you’re not loving on each other & your favorite people, I can’t force that! That doesn’t mean you have to be making out with each other all day or hugging every single person you see if that’s not your normal vibe, but it just means spending more time by your partner’s side & mingling with your family & friends together. Because that’s what gets you good candids — you candidly enjoying yourselves!

In order to create an environment for these emotions to come through, I don’t just observe your day from a distance; I immerse myself as an honorary member of your wedding party, capturing every emotional and fun moment with purpose. It won’t feel like a stranger in front of you, it will feel like someone you’ve known for years. I’ll be dishing out the sarcasm with your wedding party, cracking jokes with your grandpa, & throwing it back on the dance floor with you. I will so seamlessly be integrating myself into your day that you won’t even notice me the same way anymore.
And while you may not notice me, I will be noticing everything — all those little moments you probably won’t think twice about. Your grandma touching your arm when she realizes how incredible you look, the flower girls twirling on the dance floor during cocktail hour while everyone else casually mingles, the look you give your partner when your favorite people are giving speeches about you & you realize you chose the right person for forever. While all eyes are on you two as you exchange rings or share your first dance together as life partners , mine are scanning the room for all possible new emotions & connections that may arise.

What if we think we're too awkward for photos?
I am so unbelievably confident shooting on my own. I photograph the majority of my weddings by myself & I absolutely thrive that way. BUT depending on your day, a second photographer may be useful/necessary & may be added on for an additional cost, starting at $800.
We can chat more about whether you may need one on our initial call!
Do you offer a second photographer?
Yes, absolutely!! I think it is sooooo important for you to look through my full galleries before we book! It’s easy to portray a certain style/aesthetic via social media, but full galleries are where the reality of my style lies!
I can only share so many photos in an 1500+ photo gallery, so it’s imperative that you take the time to view a full story told by me through photos.
Can we see full wedding galleries?
HELLLL YES. My bread and butter is full day coverage of both digital & film! I believe there is such an indescribable magic to film photos & every wedding/session would benefit greatly from that addition!
For those who may not have the budget for full film coverage, I have smaller film add ons as well!
Do you offer film photography?
I always say 90-100 photos per hour on average. So if you have a 10 hour wedding day, you can expect around 900-1000 images at the minimum. But because storytelling is my main focus, these days my galleries are more like 1200-2000 images, depending on the day!!
Full galleries are only complete with all the details that set the scene, so big galleries can be expected from me!
How many photos can we expect for a session or wedding?
I know how unbelievably exciting and anxiety-inducing it can be to wait on your final photos! That’s why I make it a priority to deliver 20+ sneak peeks within 24-48 hours of your wedding day! However, please note that delivery times may vary depending on the season and current workload.
Within 6-12 weeks of your big day, I will provide you with a stunning high-resolution online gallery, showcasing your beautifully edited images.
How and when will we receive our photos?
How about both?!! I have one set wedding package listed above — The Signature Collection — for those who don’t want to make a custom package & just want full wedding day and engagement session!
But if that package doesn’t speak to you and your day — especially those who are planning an intimate wedding or elopement — I will work with you to build 2-4 packages completely custom to your budget & needs!

Do you travel?
Truly just not possible. Everyone is a little bit awkward, but that’s where my expertise & experience comes in! We get to know each other prior to working together & I learn all about what makes your relationship unique. Then we can take those things that you love to do together or the places you love to frequent & build that into your experience! I’m all about customizing your photography experience to YOU in order to make you as comfortable as I can!
BUT at the end of the day, it is up to you to come into this with an open mind! Be open to the weird things I might have you try because I promise I know what I’m talking about ;)
